Why should I use VECTARY?
VECTARY is the ideal 3D modeling tool for people new to 3D modeling, but it’s also so much more. Professional users will also appreciate VECTARY for fast prototyping, and the countless enhancements VECTARY will make to their creative process. Before VECTARY, designers always had to think about their concept before opening a 3D tool. With VECTARY, you can simply brainstorm, play with the shapes, or easily create a complex object with the help of our parametric plugins. Then you can export your prototype and continue modeling in any other tools you would like to use.
What modeling features does VECTARY have?
Check out our Learn 3D user guide.
What is subdivision modeling?
Subdivision modeling is a modeling technique that automatically adds more faces and points while maintaining the form of your model so you can easily turn your low-poly model into a smooth, high-density model. Read more about how you can use subdivisions in VECTARY.
What are parametric plugins?
In VECTARY, some objects are defined by parameters so their shape can easily be customized by setting them up. This way complex shapes are interactively generated, making designing easier.
Can I create my own plugin?
Not now, but it will be possible in the future.
I baked a model. Can I turn it back to an “unbaked” model?
When you bake an object, an unbaked version stays in the library in one “layer”, so unless you delete this layer, you can go back to the unbaked version of the object. Read more about Baking.
I have a modeling problem. Where can I get help?
Find your answer in our Learn 3D user guide.
Why should I keep my projects on VECTARY instead of downloading them?
Your projects are saved online in the cloud so you can get to your projects anytime and from anywhere. What's more, you can come back to edit shapes through parameters, which is not possible once your model is downloaded as a 3D file.
